Policies
Always provide a clear and detailed description of the fault(s) in order that we may be able to reproduce it quickly on the service bench. Please ensure that you have read and understood the owners manual for the product. This will assist you in eliminating apparent faults that result from improper control settings.

Warranty Repairs:

Proof of Purchase is required for ALL Warranty Work. If proof of purchase is not provided with the unit, the unit will be repaired as a non-warranty item. Most manufacturer's Warranties do not cover a No Fault Found. A $75 minimum charge will be applied. Please provide us with detailed information that will assist us in duplicating the problem. Some manufactures require that you contact them directly; in other cases you are to contact your Dealer before contacting a service centre. Please verify the Warranty policy for the product.

Please read the manufacturer’s warranty policy statement that accompanied your product. Lower priced products (under $200 retail) are often replaced by some manufacturers rather than repaired. Product replacements are usually handled by the product retailer and/or the manufacturer.

Shipping charges for products under warranty are usually the responsibility of the purchaser. Some manufacturers cover the return shipping costs of products repaired under warranty. Return shipping costs that are not covered by the warranty are the purchasers responsibility.  You must prepay all shipping charges for products sent to us for repair.

All products that are shipped to us or that will require return shipping must be package properly. Original packaging is usually a good starting point. If packaging “peanuts” are used, the unit must first be sealed in a plastic bag. We reserve the right to charge repackaging fees if proper packaging has not been provided. Include the Backstage RA# on the shipping label.


Non Warranty Repairs:

We service a wide variety of Professional Audio and MI product form Vintage to current production models.

Tube Amplifiers: tune ups, re-tubing, cap jobs, biasing, noise issues, modifications

Please consider the value of the product you would like us to repair before shipping it to us. Our minimum charge is $75 with most repairs being completed in one to two hours @ $75 per hour plus parts and shipping costs. All shipping costs are your responsibility.

Turnaround Time:

Normal turnaround time is 5 to 20 business days depending on workload and parts availability. Items are serviced on a first come first served basis. Please understand that we can not stock every part as there are too many different manufacturers with many more different models. Lead times for replacement parts vary between one day to a few months. You will be advised of long lead times at time of estimate.

  • Shop Labour Rate: $75/hr (Drop off and Shipped in only)
  • Estimate/Minimum Charge: $75 (Estimate fee is waived if repairs are performed by Backstage Pro Audio Service. Refused estimates are $75)
  • On Site Service: $75/hr (Three hour minimum including round trip travel time)
  • 90 days labour warranty on work done, 1 Year on EV speaker recones
  • We accept Visa, MasterCard, Debit, Cash and Cheque
  • Pick up/delivery service available upon request, contact us for rates
  • Products we do not Service: Wireless Microphones, Home Audio (TV’s, VCR etc.)
